Nasal administration to experimental animals and intranasal sprayer for micro-volume delivery of drugs and other liquids.

Sales and Support Available Only in Japan and the United States
FPS and Micro FPS are available exclusively to customers located in Japan and the United States. We currently DO NOT accept orders from, or provide support to, customers outside these countries.

Micro FPS is an intranasal sprayer capable of atomizing liquid volumes as small as 5 μL or less.
A simple one-handed push operation atomizes liquid into ultrafine particles measuring several tens of micrometers.
Primarily designed for drug and pharmaceutical solution spraying applications in the nasal cavities of small laboratory animals.
In addition, its narrow tip enables precise micro-volume spraying to hard-to-access target areas.
Ideal for animal studies, including pharmacology, pharmacokinetic, toxicology, and safety studies, requiring intranasal administration of small volumes of drugs to mice as a fine mist.
It is also ideal for applications such as micro-volume spraying and coating in semiconductor manufacturing processes.
The Micro FPS has earned high recognition from research institutions developing new drugs and vaccines, as well as from pharmaceutical companies engaged in drug manufacturing and formulation.

Please be advised that repair services, repair request acceptance, and replacement units are not available for this product.

Typical Applications

  • Intranasal drug administration in small animals for animal studies.(Primarily intended for use in mice.)
  • Pharmacology Studies / Pharmacokinetic (PK) Studies / Drug Development for Central Nervous System (CNS) Disorders
  • Intranasal drug delivery in small animals
  • Micro-volume spraying and coating in semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Caution!
This product has NOT been approved for medical use and is intended for research and industrial applications only.

Feature

  • Capable of generating ultrafine spray volumes of 5 μL or less.
(The spray volume can be freely set within the range of 1 to 5 μL.)
  • The desired spray volume can be set while visually monitoring the liquid volume to be sprayed.
  • Quantitative, repeatable spraying is possible.
  • Spraying can be performed with a simple one-handed push operation.
  • The device can be cleaned and reused. * Not autoclavable.
  • Capable of delivering microsprays to hard-to-access areas.

Caution!
This product uses a glass syringe.
The glass syringe may break or shatter if subjected to impact, potentially causing injury from broken glass fragments.
Please handle this product carefully and take all necessary precautions to prevent injury during use.
Do not apply pressure greater than 0.3 MPa, as the glass syringe is rated for a maximum pressure of 0.3 MPa.

  • We recommend conducting spray tests and becoming familiar with the spraying procedure using the intended liquid before intranasal administration to small animals. (This is intended to help users become familiar with the amount of pressure required for manual operation.)
  • Certain liquids may cause needle clogging or other performance issues during spraying.
  • If you find any of above conditions, please contact your place of purchase.
・When pressing the plunger, the expected pressure is not achieved.
・When pressing the plunger, the filled liquid in the syringe leaks out.
・The spray does not atomize during spraying.

Caution!
This product uses a glass syringe.
The glass syringe may break or shatter if subjected to impact, potentially causing injury from scattered glass fragments.
Please handle this product carefully and take all necessary precautions to prevent injury during use.
In addition, the glass syringe is rated for a maximum pressure of 0.3 MPa. Do not apply pressure exceeding this limit.
